Lectures/Workshops

One of the exciting benefits of having many talented artists at the festival is the opportunity for them to give lectures and workshops while they are in town. For 2008, we are working with SANCA - the Seattle Academy of New Circus Arts - to provide additional space for our expanding workshop/lecture program.

Past workshops have included: "The Art of Clowning" presented by Avner the Eccentric, member of the Clown Hall of Fame (2005) "Commedia Dell' Arte: The art of physical theater Then and Now" presented by Julie Goell (2007)

Past lectures have included:"The History of English Music Hall" presented by Charlie Holland, director of London's Circus Space & author of "Strange Feats & Clever Turns" (2006) "History of American Vaudeville" by Trav S. D., author of "No Applause - Just Throw Money" (2006)
